Halal Restaurant Gathering Spotlight — Still Keeping It Humble

The halal restaurant scene is evolving fast, and it’s honestly been amazing to be part of that journey. After picking up the Two Diamond Award https://www.instagram.com/p/DP3ijWvkoaS/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== and Best Halal Concept Restaurant https://www.instagram.com/p/DP3jtcWklKf/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== last year at the HalalTrip Gastronomy Awards, The White Label was recently invited back—this time, to take the stage and share our story.
No big ego moment here—just a team genuinely grateful to be recognised in a space we care deeply about.
From a Proud Win to a Humbling Opportunity to Share
To begin with, last year’s win marked a major milestone for us as a halal restaurant. More importantly, it didn’t just celebrate awards—it showed that people welcome new, creative dining ideas within the halal space.
Then, this year came something different. Instead of returning for recognition, we returned to reflect. We shared what worked, what didn’t, and what we’re still figuring out as we go.
Ultimately, it became less about winning and more about learning out loud.

Passionately Redefining What a Halal Restaurant Can Be
At The White Label, we’ve always believed a halal restaurant should go beyond being safe or standard. Instead, it should feel expressive, exciting, and genuinely memorable.
For that reason, we keep building experiences like our trolley buffets and concept-led dining such as Beats & Bites. https://thewhitelabel.sg/weekend-trolleys-buffet-menu/ At the same time, we keep testing new ideas—because some land well, while others teach us valuable lessons.
Still, through it all, our direction stays clear:
we want to build a halal restaurant people actually look forward to.
Standing on Stage with Gratitude, Not Ego
Speaking at the HalalTrip Gastronomy Awards wasn’t about acting like we’ve “made it.” If anything, it was a reminder that we’re still learning.
We shared things like:
- How the halal restaurant scene is changing
- Why younger diners want more than just good food
- The importance of trying new ideas (even if they flop)
- Staying authentic while growing a brand
Nothing overly polished—just real experiences from being on the ground.
A Heartfelt Win for the Halal Restaurant Community
This moment isn’t just ours. The halal restaurant space is growing because more brands, chefs, and teams are pushing boundaries and trying new things.
We’re just one part of that bigger movement.
What’s Next?
We’re not chasing awards—we’re chasing better ideas, better experiences, and better ways to connect with our community.
If anything, this recognition just pushes us to keep showing up and doing the work.
And if you’re looking for a halal restaurant that’s a little different, a little experimental, and always evolving—you know where to find us.

At the end of the day, we’re just grateful to be here, doing what we love, and contributing in our own way to the halal restaurant scene.
