Meet
The Chef

Born in Singapore, Chef Nelson boasts an illustrious career in French culinary arts spanning over 28 years. Coming from a family of merchants and businessmen, Chef Nelson chose to pursue his passion for cooking instead of joining the family business. He began his culinary journey by enrolling in SHATEC in the 80s.

Throughout his career, Chef Nelson has worked in various esteemed establishments, starting with the renowned Les Amis. He gained invaluable experience in numerous French restaurants, finding mentorship under the award-winning Chef Patrick Heuberger, Chef-Owner of Atout. To further hone his craft, Chef Nelson spent four years working as a chef in Lyon, France.

Currently at The White Label, Chef Nelson challenges himself to adapt classical French cuisine to be halal, while infusing it with the distinctive spices of Malayan cuisine. His innovative approach ensures that everyone can savor the exquisite flavors of French halal cuisine.
